Machine Gun Kelly<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t have the smoothest blackout tattoo process.<\/p>\n

MGK, 36 \u2014 whose real name is Colson Baker \u2014 opened up about getting sick from his ink<\/a> while chatting with Billboard Canada<\/em><\/a> in a new interview published on Monday, June 8. To achieve his look, MGK worked with celebrity tattoo artist ROXX<\/strong>, who created his \u201cdark mode\u201d tattoo and recommended he take two years to get his desired results.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe warned me that it was going to be near impossible, even from a pain tolerance standpoint,\u201d he told the publication. \u201cI said, \u2018Yeah, we got two months.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cAfter the first week, we hit my lymph nodes around my armpits and shoulders, and I got really sick. My skin was turning yellow. I wasn\u2019t able to sleep. I stopped being able to move certain parts of my upper body.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the symptoms he endured, the process was still worth it to MGK. \u201cI came out the other side extremely inspired,\u201d he explained. \u201cNot just because of what I had done, but because of what I had to overcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rapper shared that he decided to get the tattoo<\/a> because he was \u201clooking for a change that wasn\u2019t just a sound wave.\u201d<\/p>\n
