Jon Stewart has blasted Donald Trump<\/p>\n
The 63-year-old talk show host blasted the President of the United States, 79, for the way he reaction to NBC’s Meet The Press reporter Kristen Welker’s fact checking during an interview last week, including insisting he had “no evidence” of his claims the 2020 election was rigged.<\/p>\n
Speaking on The Daily Show, Stewart said: \u201cNow, you could view this as the hissy-fit of an incredibly fragile man-baby, whose paper-thin skin can\u2019t handle venturing out of the sycophantic embrace of his tongue-bathing acolytes.<\/p>\n
\u201cOr, actually, I don\u2019t know how else you can view it. It really is just that. It is sad. It\u2019s very sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the Meet The Press interview, both Trump and Welker noted the rain outside, but by the end things were much more tense.<\/p>\n
\nStewart quipped: “But then, we get to a moment when the heartland rain-swept rom-com becomes a man trapped in a barn with his worst nightmare:<\/p>\n
\n“A woman \u2026 who won\u2019t stop asking pertinent questions.”<\/p>\n
\nHe added that everyone knew Trump wouldn’t actually have left the building during the interview “because it’s raining out”.<\/p>\n
\nHe joked: “And, as you know, moisture is the natural enemy of the North American combover.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nStewart was critical of Welker appearing to blame Trump’s demeanour and frustration on the rain, while noting she has been given another interview to make up for him storming out.<\/p>\n
\nHe argued: “He wasn\u2019t aggravated by the rain. Donald Trump didn\u2019t storm out because of the rain; he stormed out because he was challenged, not because he was distracted.<\/p>\n
\n“So maybe it\u2019s time we stop making excuses for that man in order to preserve access to his constant bullshit.”<\/p>\n
\nAt the end of the interview, Trump branded NBC a “one-sided crooked network” and told Welker: “Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time.”<\/p>\n
\nOn Monday (08.06.26), Trump was in attendance at Madison Square Garden for New York Knicks’ NBA Finals game against the San Antonio Spurs, which marked the team’s first home game in their first Finals appearance since 1999.<\/p>\n
\nHe attended in a private box, at the invitation of Knicks owner and friend James Dolan, and was booed by fans in MSG in what was his first game in years.<\/p>\n
