The pardon application was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-06-08\/ftx-co-founder-bankman-fried-formally-applies-for-trump-pardon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">first reported by Bloomberg News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump has pardoned hundreds of people during his second term. While a majority of those were people who participated in the January 6 riot, many were convicted of financial fraud. An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/trump-administration\/trumps-pardons-forgive-financial-crimes-came-hundreds-millions-punishm-rcna248277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">NBC News analysis<\/a> from January found that more than half of the individual pardons granted were to people who committed white collar crimes like money laundering, bank fraud, and wire fraud.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump has pardoned a number of people who have donated large sums to his political campaigns.
