Every Year After<\/strong><\/a><\/em> is just days away from debuting, and the showrunner is already talking about the show\u2019s future. <\/p>\n

Prime Video has not renewed the upcoming series, based off the novel \u201cEvery Summer After<\/a>\u201d by Carley Fortune<\/strong>, but there\u2019s already a plan for it to keep going, according to series co-creator and showrunner Amy B Harris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Amy B Harris has a five-season for Every Year After<\/em><\/h3>\n

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> ahead of the series premiere, showrunner Amy B Harris<\/strong> expressed she sees it going on for five seasons. <\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, there\u2019s another book that\u2019s connected to Barry\u2019s Bay that I think will be a very exciting blueprint for us for a potential season 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The other book in question is \u201cOne Golden Summer<\/a>,\u201d a companion book to Carley<\/strong>\u2018s \u201cEvery Summer After,\u201d which centers on Sam\u2019s brother Charlie has he finds love.<\/p>\n

However, Amy<\/strong> is looking beyond the books!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have these six main characters, and I think we\u2019ll be adding characters as the seasons go on. I really see this as a series, and it\u2019s why we built it the way we did so that we can come back and explore a lot more romance,\u201d she said. \u201cWe have lots more to say both about Percy and Sam\u2019s love story, but also about these other characters who hopefully people will come to love as much as they do Percy and Sam.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Should Every Year After<\/em> get picked up for a second season, it could follow in the footsteps of other recent book to screen adaptations centering on a different book for their second seasons \u2013 Off Campus<\/strong><\/a><\/em> and Heated Rivalr<\/em>y<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n
