\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Spencer Pratt<\/strong><\/a> and Nithya Raman<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s race for the runoff election is getting closer and closer. <\/p>\n The latest update on the vote count has seen the councilwoman\u2019s gap to the reality star narrow. <\/p>\n Spencer <\/strong>and Nithya<\/strong> have been vying for votes to defeat incumbent Karen Bass<\/strong><\/a> for months now, and the latest poll numbers are revealing a smaller gap between them. <\/p>\n Spencer <\/strong>is still leading Nithya<\/strong> in the latest update on Saturday (June 6), but his lead has gotten much smaller. <\/p>\n At the time of the post, per NBC 4 Los Angeles<\/a>, Spencer<\/strong> holds 27.3% of the votes, while Nithya<\/strong> has 26.2% percent, and she has 177k to his 184k. <\/p>\n Only about 77.7% of the expected votes have been counted.<\/p>\n Current mayor Karen Bass<\/strong> has already advanced to the November runoff election, with her current count at 34.8% with 235k votes.<\/p>\n A candidate will need at least 50% of the vote from Tuesday\u2019s election to win the mayoral seat, and if they don\u2019t reach that threshold, the top two will go up against each other in November\u2019s general election.<\/p>\n It does not look like there will be one candidate who receives 50% of the vote.<\/p>\n In the 2026 Los Angeles Mayor race,\u00a0Karen Bass\u00a0<\/strong>has secured her spot in the November 3 runoff election. She will either face TV personality\u00a0Spencer Pratt\u00a0<\/strong>or City Councilmember\u00a0Nithya Raman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Democratic consultant Michael Trujillo<\/strong>, who does not represent any of the candidates suggests that Nithya<\/strong> will surpass Spencer<\/strong>, ending his mayoral campaign. <\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s over,\u201d he told the LA Times<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt appears Nithya<\/strong> will be in the runoff.
