\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Alyson Hannigan<\/strong><\/a> is remembering her Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> co-star Anthony Head<\/strong> following his death at the age of 72.<\/p>\n The actress paid tribute to Anthony<\/strong> on Saturday (June 6), after his daughters announced that he had died<\/a> from \u201ccomplications due to pneumonia.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis cut is so deep I fear it can never heal,\u201d the Willow actress wrote on Instagram<\/a> alongside a sweet photo of their pair together. \u201cOh Tonal\u2026I am so grateful to have had you in my life! I want to say a million wonderful things about you and yet I can\u2019t seem to find the words that would do you justice. I love you so much and will miss you forever. RIP.\u201d<\/p>\n Anthony<\/strong> was best known to Buffy<\/em> fans for playing Rupert Giles, the trusted Watcher and mentor to Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Buffy Summers. <\/p>\n Over the course of the series, Giles also developed a close bond with Alyson<\/strong>\u2018s character, Willow Rosenberg, often guiding the young witch through her growing magical abilities and some of her darkest struggles.<\/p>\n The tribute comes during an especially difficult year for the Buffy<\/em> family.
