Kelsea Ballerini is having a “Carrie Bradshaw<\/a> moment” in New York City.<\/p>\n

Kelsea Ballerini is currently living in New York City<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old country singer – who split from actor Chase Stokes earlier this year – is currently living in New York City, and Kelsea has revealed that she’s loving life in the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

The blonde beauty told Us Weekly: “I\u2019ve always wanted to have a little New York moment.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve always romanticised that, and I never knew if music would bring me up there or some part of my job, but \u2026 after putting out [my album] Patterns and then the Mount Pleasant EP, I was like, \u2018OK, I\u2019m gonna just step away for a second. I need a shift.'”<\/p>\n

Kelsea observed that she’s in the midst of her “Carrie Bradshaw<\/a> moment”, in reference to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City character.<\/p>\n

\nShe explained: “I have a stoop! I sit out on it every night. Glass of wine, and I\u2019m just people watching with my little podcast. It\u2019s so nice.”<\/p>\n

\nAlthough Kelsea isn’t putting down permanent roots in New York City, she’s learned some valuable life lessons over recent weeks.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: “I think it\u2019s reminding me to stay really open in life, that you never know when you can make a new friend, and you never know when you can reconnect to your independence, and what that can look like in different seasons. And I think I\u2019m still on my journey to find the best dirty martini in the city, so I have two months left to find it.”<\/p>\n

\nKelsea is also pleased that she’s taken herself outside of her comfort zone.<\/p>\n

\nThe Half of My Hometown hitmaker shared: “I\u2019ve been in Nashville since I was 15, and so all my friends are here, my family is here in Knoxville, so this is the first time that I\u2019ve kind of done something truly on my own, and it feels exciting.”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Kelsea previously claimed that she’s learned to accept the highs and lows of life.<\/p>\n

\nThe singer told People: “It\u2019s impossible to do it all ‘right’ and make everyone happy. So, I\u2019m just taking it day by day and keeping a solid pulse on if I\u2019m being authentic in my own little journey of happiness and growth.”<\/p>\n
