\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Anthony Head<\/strong><\/a> has sadly passed away.<\/p>\n On Friday (June 5), it was announced that the British actor, best known for his roles on Ted Lasso<\/em> and Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>, had died at the age of 72.<\/p>\n Anthony<\/strong>\u2018s daughters Emily<\/strong> and Daisy<\/strong> shared the sad news with BBC News<\/a><\/em>, revealing that their father \u201cpassed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father,\u201d Emily<\/strong> and Daisy<\/strong> shared. \u201cIt has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many.\u201d<\/p>\n On Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>, Anthony<\/strong> played Rupert Giles, Buffy\u2019s (Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong>) watcher. Then on Ted Lasso<\/em>, he played Rupert Mannion, the ex-husband of Hannah Waddingham<\/strong>\u2018s character Rebecca Welton.<\/p>\n Anthony<\/strong> is survived by his two daughters, who are both actors as well. His longtime partner Sarah Fisher<\/strong> died last year.<\/p>\n Our thoughts are with Anthony Head<\/strong>\u2018s loved ones during this difficult time.
