The movie earned widespread critical acclaim and introduced her work to an even broader audience.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/03\/joe-rogan-endorsed-donald-trump-now-says-he-feels-betrayed-by-war-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Recent events in Iran<\/a> have led to a resurgence in popularity for both the book and the film.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career, Satrapi remained an outspoken advocate for democracy, women\u2019s rights, and freedom of expression. <\/p>\n<p>Her work consistently authoritarianism and highlighted the experiences of ordinary people living under oppressive governments.
