The Beatles legend was chatting to Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music when he reflected on being considered a \u201cworkaholic\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cPeople say, \u2018Oh you\u2019re a workaholic\u2019 and I say, \u2018We don\u2019t work music, we play it, so I\u2019m a playaholic!<\/p>\n
\u201cI hate it when making music starts to feel like work.\u201d<\/p>\n
Zane then remarked that music producer Brian Eno had made an \u201calmost identical\u201d comment in a recent interview with him.<\/p>\n
\nTo which Paul, 83, said: \u201cI saw your thing about Brian Eno and he says this, he says this thing about \u2018playtime\u2019 and I go \u2018that\u2019s\u2026 he\u2019s nicked it, he\u2019s heard me say it!\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBecause I\u2019m always saying that! He\u2019s taking all my lines, this guy!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLater in the interview, Paul once again ignited his \u201cbeef\u201d with Brian as he laughed he had also heard him talking about \u201ctape loops\u201d – where magnetic tape are spliced end-to-end to play continuously. <\/p>\n
\nPaul said: \u201cI like to work with tape loops and again Brian Eno\u2026 in your interview, he starts talking about tape loops. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd I\u2019m thinking, \u2018Brian! You\u2019re nicking all my ideas!\u2019 Tomorrow never knows, it was before you were born!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nZane responded: \u201cThis is a serious celebrity death match we\u2019ve got on our hands right here between the two of you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWith Paul hilariously putting on a threatening voice as he looked to the camera and told Brian: \u201cIf you\u2019re listening!\u201d <\/p>\n
\nElsewhere in the interview, Zane asked Paul if he regrets not having reunited with his Beatles bandmates after their split to make more music. <\/p>\n
\nTo which Paul replied: \u201cWe knew we\u2019d finished. And we\u2019d all said it\u2019s full circle, this is great. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cJohn (Lennon) was off on his life with Yoko (Ono) which was\u2026 you couldn\u2019t say \u2018Would you mind coming back and we\u2019ll do a bit more Beatles?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI wouldn\u2019t have put that to him. I could see what he was doing, it was a different life, and I was too with Linda.”<\/p>\n
\nJohn met Yoko at an art gallery in 1966 before they began an affair, which led to John leaving his first wife Cynthia for his mistress. He and Yoko married in 1969, with The Beatles announcing their split the following year – which led to speculation Yoko may have been responsible for the band breaking up. <\/p>\n
\nPaul was married to Linda McCartney for 29 years until her tragic death in 1998 when she lost her long-running battle with breast cancer.<\/p>\n
