Love Island USA<\/em><\/a> viewers might be feeling a sense of d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu with season 8 islander Zach Georgiou<\/strong> \u2014 and that\u2019s because he shares a connection with alum Charlie Georgiou.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the Tuesday, June 2, premiere, Zach confirmed that his older brother<\/a> appeared in season 7 but didn\u2019t make it far with love interest Hannah Fields<\/strong>. Zach, meanwhile, was determined to avoid the same fate as he explored a new connection with Kenzie Annis.<\/p>\n

The romance with Zach and Kenzie didn\u2019t last long though. By the end of Tuesday\u2019s episode \u2014 a.k.a the second day in the villa \u2014 Zach mentioned several times that he never dated women with blonde hair because he preferred \u201cdarker features.\u201d<\/p>\n

Host Ariana Madix offered islanders the chance to back out of their couples. Zach took the opportunity and left with bombshell Kayda Bosse while Kenzie made it clear she wanted to keep exploring her connection with Zach \u2014 not knowing that he was taken to The Hideaway.<\/p>\n

Charlie, for his part, entered the villa in season 7<\/a> as a bombshell. He built a bond with Hannah that ultimately came to an end when he was eliminated \u2014 and she stayed behind.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe emotions are real. I was devastated when I got back to the hotel and I decompressed and all the adrenaline was gone. I was all over the place,\u201d he exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in June 2025 about leaving Hannah behind, who then had a viral moment while crying over a photo of them together. \u201cThe photo [Hannah had], I\u2019d actually given it to her. I came out and I said, \u2018Listen, take this.’\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cAnd she cried on our bed. People don\u2019t understand that conversation we had. It was condensed down. We had a beautiful, long conversation unraveling each other\u2019s brains and where we were at.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Charlie clarified there was no ill will<\/a> about Hannah not leaving with him. (She later coupled up with Pepe Garcia<\/strong> but that fizzled out as well.)<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. Look, Love Island is such a rare, unique experience that just because I was robbed of it doesn\u2019t mean she should be robbed of it, too,\u201d he added. \u201cWe were just on that verge \u2014 had it been another week or two \u2014 she might have felt that way or maybe it would\u2019ve been different.
