She\u2019s a survivor! Reba McEntire<\/strong><\/a> proved she is more than just a country superstar when she led her own TV show \u2014 appropriately called Reba<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The sitcom ran for six seasons from October 2001 to February 2007. McEntire starred as a single mother raising her three children \u2014 played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher<\/strong><\/a>, Scarlett Pomers<\/strong> and Mitch Holleman<\/strong> \u2014 alongside her ex-husband (Christopher Rich<\/strong>) and his new wife (Melissa Peterman<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n

In the years since the series concluded, the cast has remained close. Swisher revealed in June 2019 that her daughters consider McEntire family. \u201cShe\u2019s very much Auntie Reba,\u201d the Sweet Magnolias<\/em> star exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time. \u201cShe spoils quite a bit<\/a>. She doesn\u2019t babysit because when I see her, I want to be with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swisher noted in February 2018 that the group is so tight-knit that they vacation together. \u201cWe are all extremely close,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cWe talk all the time. Reba\u2019s got a tight hold on her little brood because she makes sure we are all doing OK and taken care of. And Melissa Peterman is a really dear friend and a part of my family. We\u2019re all just very close.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gossip Girl<\/em><\/a> alum also teased a potential Reba<\/em> revival<\/a> at the time. \u201cI definitely think it\u2019s possible and I think everybody would love to,\u201d she said. \u201cThere is so much love there and such fond memories of our time on the show. I feel like we kind of ended before we really wanted to and I think there is a lot of goodwill in that world and I know everybody would be supportive of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only would the cast be on board, but there have already been discussions. \u201cI know there has definitely been a lot of talk about it,\u201d she divulged.<\/p>\n

As for where she thought her and Steve Howey<\/strong>\u2019s characters, Cheyenne and Van, respectively, would be, she believed the high school sweethearts were going strong. \u201cI think Van and Cheyenne would still be together and defy all odds in their own quirky way. But it takes a village and that village was really strong,\u201d she explained. \u201cThey were the definition of a modern family. It was a very real and supportive family, a loving family, and at the end of the day, regardless of all the insanity that was circling our lives, we loved each other until the end. And I think that allows you to beat the odds.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Grammy winner has continued to dominate the country music industry, releasing albums including All the Women I Am<\/em>, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope<\/em> and Stronger Than the Truth<\/em>. She also still acts and has appeared on Malibu Country<\/em>, Baby Daddy<\/em>, Last Man Standing<\/em>, Young Sheldon<\/em> and Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar<\/em>. McEntire\u2019s The Hammer<\/em> premiered on Lifetime in January 2023.\u00a0 Peterman played her sister in the TV movie.<\/p>\n
