Javits Convention Center on October 5, 2018 in New York City.  <span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo by Dia Dipasupil\/Getty Images for New York Comic Con)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For years now, former co-stars Friedle, Fishel, and Strong have spoken openly about their confusion over Savage\u2019s decision to seemingly cut off contact with them.<\/p>\n<p>And while the situation remains unchanged, Friedle says he still hasn\u2019t lost hope that one day they\u2019ll reconnect.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about his former co-star, Friedle revealed that despite years of silence, he\u2019s continuing to hold out hope for a reunion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know I\u2019m shouting into the void, but I\u2019m going to keep doing it. I haven\u2019t given up on my friend,\u201d Friedle alum<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/will-friedel-danielle-fishel-talk-about-ben-savage-exclusive-11989605\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0told People<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday. \u201cI\u2019m hoping that he comes back into our lives at some point, and when he does, we\u2019re going to have a lot to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friedle and Savage played brothers Eric and Cory Matthews throughout <em>Boy Meets World<\/em>\u2018s seven-season run.<\/p>\n<p>The actor admitted that he still feels the urge to simply \u201cpick up the phone\u201d and call Savage, hoping to finally have the conversation they\u2019ve been unable to have for years.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY7vNZXkoF1\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence on the beloved sitcom, also spoke about missing the major milestones in Savage\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>These days, Savage is a husband and father, and Fishel says she often finds herself thinking about the life he\u2019s built away from his former castmates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love imagining him in this new chapter of his life as a dad. I know he has had a baby girl,\u201d she told People.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s now a husband. So I love just thinking about him in that capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fishel acknowledged that it makes her sad not to be part of those moments, especially given how close they once were.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, she says she\u2019s reached a place of acceptance regarding Savage\u2019s decision to step away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot everybody wants to talk about uncomfortable truths,\u201d she explained while discussing the cast\u2019s decision to revisit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/04\/danielle-fishel-shaun-weiss-recall-hormonal-scene-from-worst-episode-of-boy-meets-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">their worst experiences on <em>Boy Meets World<\/em><\/a> through their podcast and documentary projects.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to see why Savage\u2019s castmates might feel hurt. But moving on from an old job \u2014 and the castmates with whom he worked \u2014 is his right.
