\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Travis Scott<\/strong><\/a>, SZA<\/strong><\/a> and Future<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s copyright lawsuit has been dropped.<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, gospel singer Victory Boyd<\/strong> filed a lawsuit<\/a> last year alleging that the trio\u2019s 2023 song \u201cTelekinesis\u201d was stolen from her unreleased 2019 demo called \u201cLike the Way It Sounds\u201d that she made with Kanye West<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n The trio denied wrongdoing, but a federal judge refused to dismiss the case as of two months ago.<\/p>\n Victory<\/strong> has since dropped the lawsuit as of Wednesday (June 3), saying she \u201cdecided to forgive\u201d Travis<\/strong> and move on, via Billboard.<\/a> There is no settlement in the court filings.<\/p>\n Her lawyer\u00a0Keith White<\/strong>\u00a0said Victory <\/strong>went through \u201can internal spiritual process\u201d before ending the case, and that she\u2019s always been credited as a co-writer on \u201cTelekinesis\u201d and would continue receiving publishing royalties, and is no longer pursuing damages in addition.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter some internal reflection, Victory <\/strong>decided to forgive Travis Scott <\/strong>and move past a legal process that felt like it was draining her creatively and spiritually. Victory<\/strong> is moving forward to focus on her art, her ministry and her life. She sends her blessings to all of the parties in the case and is excited to move forward,\u201d the lawyer said in the statement.<\/p>\n The song was originally recorded for consideration on Ye<\/strong>\u2018s Jesus Is King <\/em>and Donda<\/em>, which Travis<\/strong> was featured on, before reportedly being given the song by Ye<\/strong> for him to use instead.
