\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams<\/strong><\/a> is the Madden 27 cover star, and many fans are noticing that he opted to have painted nails on the cover of the famed Deluxe Edition copy.<\/p>\n The 24-year-old former first round pick in the NFL draft spoke out about his decision to show off his painted nails for the cover. If you don\u2019t know, Caleb <\/strong>often sports nail polish on his fingers.<\/p>\n In an interview with Teen Vogue<\/a>, Caleb <\/strong>explained his decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a Chicago flag. I had the Chicago Bears\u2019 \u201cC.\u201d In respects to the legend John Madden in EA Sports and as a coach, I had him painted on my nails. I had the NFL shield, the best organization and one of the most historic organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been painting my nails for about six years now. It\u2019s been a part of my career because I\u2019ve always wanted to be true to myself. It was only right to do the shoot with my nails painted. It\u2019s going to be online, in hard copy, in digital\u2014right up in your face.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cA couple of nights ago, when the [San Antonio] Spurs [made it to the NBA Finals], [Victor Wembanyama<\/strong>] was talking about being unapologetic about his emotions towards something that he loves so much\u2014this thing that is bigger than himself. He\u2019s put so much time, energy, and effort into reaching this point and being where he is.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the same mindset I have. I care about myself so much in that way\u2014mentally, physically, and spiritually\u2014so I can be in the best position and be the best version of myself. That\u2019s what being unapologetic means to me, and sometimes, it means doing some things that others don\u2019t. I may enjoy some things that people haven\u2019t seen in the sport or even in their lifetime. So many people grow up differently. But it\u2019s not a heavy weight to carry when you\u2019re true to yourself. I stick to that all the time, and it\u2019s worked out for me so far.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cI\u2019m really excited about this moment, not only for myself but for my teammates and for the Bears. A couple of weeks ago, one of my good friends, Cole Bennett, told me that I was the first Bears player to grace the cover of a Madden game [in English].
