Mary Bonnet<\/strong><\/a> is reacting to speculation that she was fired after her Selling Sunset<\/em> <\/a>exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not fired to make that clear,\u201d Mary, 45, told Inman News<\/a> in a social media clip posted on Monday, June 1. \u201cI\u2019m very much still the Vice President at the Oppenheim Group. I\u2019m still very much a part of the Oppenheim Group and doing real estate and best friends with Jason [Oppenheim]<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cNothing is going to change that. It\u2019s simply the show and the vision of it. I want it to be more women empowerment and not what it has been.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in May that Mary, Emma Hernan <\/strong>and Sandra Vergara<\/strong>, the sister of Sof\u00eda Vergara,<\/strong> exited the Netflix reality series.<\/a><\/p>\n

A source exclusively told Us<\/em> at the time that the cast is most \u201cshocked\u201d by the news of Mary leaving, explaining that she \u201cthinks it\u2019s best for her mental health right now\u201d to take a step back and focus on \u201cher business and other projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Mary hinted at her exit<\/a> from the show while appearing on the \u201cCasual Chaos\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt depends on the dynamic in the office, honestly,\u201d she said in January, when asked about returning. \u201cIt depends on the level of toxicity that they\u2019re allowing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mary explained at the time that she would keep her role at the Oppenheim Group and \u201cjust not be on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside the trio of women, Alanna Gold also announced via Instagram that she would be departing from the show. It was previously confirmed that Nicole Young, Chelsea Lazkani <\/strong>and Chrishell Stause<\/strong> would also be exiting Selling Sunset.<\/em><\/p>\n
