Prison phone calls are not protected by privacy laws.<\/p>\n<p>According to the audio, she told her mother that she wants to become a \u201clife coach\u201d after prison. <\/p>\n<p>At the earliest, her date of release is late 2037.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 EXCLUSIVE: Mackenzie Shirilla is already thinking about life after prison \u2026 and it sounds like she&#8217;s got big plans for what might come next. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UeK42PlAax\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/UeK42PlAax<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TMZ (@TMZ) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TMZ\/status\/2060754418644217909?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">May 30, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is unclear if this call took place before or after the May 15 release of Netflix\u2019s documentary, <em>The Crash<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the things you have been experiencing. It\u2019s so much,\u201d Shirilla heard from her mother. <\/p>\n<p>Her mom continued: \u201cSo many highs and lows, ups and downs. A pillar of strength, my love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, like, man. Like, I just wanna come home and just like \u2026 I don\u2019t even know,\u201d Shirilla said awkwardly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to be able to help so many more people than you already were, you know what I mean?\u201d her mom suggested. \u201cJust because of your experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mackenzie Shirilla\u2019s father placed on administrative leave after Netflix documentary release\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gKNPIHgEVfI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-ma-be-a-life-coach\">\u2018I\u2019ma be a life coach\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>It sounds like Shirilla chewed on using her \u201cexperiences\u201d to then \u201chelp\u201d others before naming her potential new gig.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ma be a life coach and stuff,\u201d she proposed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just going to be everything,\u201d Shirilla continued. \u201cI\u2019ma do everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One cannot help but think of another call between mother in daughter, in which Shirilla attempted to conceal her message in pig latin, as if this would make her words indecipherable to investigators.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, that did not pan out.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Family of Davion Flanagan starts scholarship fund in hopes of helping others fulfill their dreams\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R2hxmqbHr98?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Some of her actions and statements have given the general public the impression that Shirilla feels no remorse for the deaths of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan.<\/p>\n<p>That is something that the parole board in 2037 may take into account when they consider releasing her.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, many have pointed out that Scott Flanagan \u2014 the father of one of her victims \u2014 has shown more thought and care than Shirilla or her parents.<\/p>\n<p>Flanagan, like many of us, hopes that Shirilla will take her time in prison to mature into an adult and grow into a better human being.<\/p>\n<p>Will it happen? We don\u2019t know.
