Antonio Cipriano<\/strong> addressed how Off Campus<\/em><\/a> adapted \u2014 and changed details from Logan\u2019s story<\/a> in the book series \u2014 before his season of the show was delayed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s so great about the show and the adaptation is that all the writers had so much freedom to add so much more to these characters. The books are so POV driven between whoever is in their love story and there was so much more to play with,\u201d Cipriano exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in May about the vision for the shakeups. \u201cYou\u2019re rooting for all of these characters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cipriano expressed excitement<\/a> at getting to expand on his character.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou get to know Logan as a brother, as a teammate and as a best friend before he finds that love,\u201d he noted. \u201cYou get to follow him on this arc of finding himself and those days. I was really grateful to have that opportunity. Now we\u2019ve met Grace so I\u2019m excited for him to get to meet her in the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on the book of the same name<\/a> by Elle Kennedy<\/strong>, the show, which premiered in May, follows an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives. Hannah (Ella Bright<\/strong>) and Garrett\u2019s (Belmont Cameli<\/strong>) love story took center stage in season 1 \u2014 with several key moments from their book, The Deal<\/em>, swapped for an updated version.<\/a><\/p>\n

At the same time, the show set up Allie (Mika Abdalla<\/strong>) and Dean (Stephen Kalyn<\/strong>) as the next possible leads despite them being featured in the third installment of the series. Prime Video recently confirmed that they would be moved up while Logan, meanwhile, is expected to be the focus of a third season alongside love interest Grace (India Fowler<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Cipriano acknowledged to Us<\/em> that some of the changes on Off Campus could stir up strong reactions. More specifically, he weighed in on Hannah kissing one of Garrett\u2019s teammates in front of him \u2014 with Kennedy\u2019s version presenting it as Dean while the series opted for Logan.<\/p>\n

But honestly, for the story that we\u2019re trying to tell and where Logan has that kind of spark with Hannah, it\u2019s only going to feed the story a little bit more for his attraction toward her,\u201d Cipriano teased at the time. \u201cHow that moment meant nothing to Hannah but everything to Logan.\u201d<\/p>\n
