\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Rosamund Pike<\/strong><\/a> is reminding theatergoers to put their phones away and stay present during live performances.<\/p>\n The 47-year-old Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress paused after taking her final bows following a performance of Inter Alia<\/em> in London\u2019s West End on Saturday night (May 30) to address audience etiquette and explain why distractions can have a real impact on performers.<\/p>\n According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Rosamund<\/strong> spoke directly to the crowd after the show and revealed that she had noticed someone using their phone during the performance.<\/p>\n \u201cI just wanted to say for anyone going to the theater, it\u2019s a huge thing that we\u2019re trying to give you,\u201d Rosamund<\/strong> said. \u201cI am trying to tell you a story, and I\u2019m feeling you, and I hope you\u2019re feeling me too.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Gone Girl<\/em> star then referenced a specific moment when she spotted someone on their phone in the audience.<\/p>\n \u201cSomebody was texting in this part,\u201d she said, pointing toward one section of the crowd. \u201cMaybe it was very important, and maybe you\u2019re a doctor, and you\u2019re saving someone\u2019s life, and I hope you are. But we do see these, we do feel them. I\u2019ve got you, I feel like I\u2019ve got to hold you all, so when I feel that and see it, it\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Later this year, Rosamund<\/strong> will make her Broadway debut in Inter Alia<\/em> when it moves to New York in November.
