Anderson<\/strong> confirmed the news last week.<\/p>\n<p>She told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/sweet-magnolias-showrunner-cast-confirm-tys-season-5-exit\/?utm_campaign=true_anthem_usweekly&amp;utm_content=photo&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=facebook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Us Weekly<\/a><\/em> that it was <strong>Carson<\/strong>\u2018s decision to leave the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had some other opportunities that I\u2019m really excited for him about,\u201d she said. \u201cHe\u2019s a really, really good friend of mine, and so that\u2019s something that\u2019s really exciting for him and for all of us. We\u2019re all still so supportive of him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Season five is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/05\/12\/sweet-magnolias-heads-to-new-york-for-season-5-watch-trailer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">set to debut on June 5 on Netflix.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do fans think Carson Rowland is joining <em>Off Campus<\/em> on Prime Video?<\/h3>\n<p>Fans noticed that <strong>Carson Rowland<\/strong> followed a few of the actors from <em>Off Campus<\/em>, <strong>Jalen Thomas Brooks<\/strong> and <strong>Antonio Cipriano<\/strong>, on Instagram. They both followed him back.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he followed Dean actor <strong>Stephen Kalyn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This has led fans to speculate that he possibly booked an important role on the show.<\/p>\n<p>The role of Jake Connelly in <strong>Elle Kennedy<\/strong>\u2018s book series has yet to be announced.
