Noah Brown<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the search efforts and subsequent discovery of his late brother Matt Brown<\/strong>\u2019s remains<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the past couple days, I\u2019ve been communicating back and forth with the different search teams,\u201d Noah exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cThere [were] two separate search teams that were going to look for him. They were nonprofits and we\u2019re all communicating.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cOne of the smaller, more local teams decided to go out yesterday, and about \u2014 I think it\u2019s 3:20-something, 3:27, 3:28, something like that \u2014 they texted me and told me they had found him. So I rushed down to the spot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local authorities confirmed Matt\u2019s body was recovered<\/a> from the Okanogan River in Washington state on Saturday, May 30.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAuthorities are crediting a \u201cgroup of private citizens\u201d for ultimately recovering the body of Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown. \u201cOn Saturday, May 30, 2026, a group of private citizens conducting a search along the Okanogan River located a deceased individual in the river,\u201d a Sunday, May 31, updated press release shared by Washington state\u2019s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Noah tells Us<\/em> that rather than \u201cleaving the body where it was,\u201d the small search team decided to load Matt \u201cinto a small skiff\u201d and move his body \u201cto shore.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen myself and the rest of the people that were looking hauled the skiff up further on the shore, and that\u2019s where it was \u2026 when the coroner came,\u201d he adds. \u201cRight now, all I can say is that he was lost in the river. He was lost in the river and we found him.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Noah, his brother\u2019s body is currently with \u201cthe coroner\u201d and \u201cthey\u2019re going to do an autopsy.\u201d<\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t yet released the cause of death,\u201d he tells Us<\/em>, though is brother Bear Brown<\/strong><\/a> shared in a Saturday social media post that he believes his brother Matt\u2019s death was \u201cself-inflicted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noah confirmed via TikTok on Saturday that he was present when his brother\u2019s body was found<\/a> and helped local authorities to ID his body. The Alaskan Bush People star tells Us that he is still processing the moment he realized the body was his brother\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m kind of compartmentalizing, kind of focusing on, like, what the next thing is I\u2019m supposed to do,\u201d he says of the moment he saw his brother\u2019s remains. \u201cI knew I needed to be there in order to be able to identify him. It\u2019s not just for the sheriffs and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continues, \u201cMy family has this thing that if we don\u2019t see the body and one of us is able to confirm otherwise, there is, like, a little glimmer of hope that maybe they\u2019re still out there. His ID was on him, his social security was on him. And I, personally, I personally ID\u2019d him. They unzipped the body bag for me, and I was able to visually ID [my brother].\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a very, very, very, very small chance it\u2019s not him. It\u2019s like 99 percent him,\u201d Bear, 38, said of the family\u2019s fear for Matt, 43, in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As to why he was the family member to positively ID his brother after he went missing, Noah tells us he was simply \u201cin the vicinity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just happened to be the one to be taking the lead on it because, I guess, I was the most prepared to do it,\u201d he says. \u201cTo kind of take all that responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the Brown Family issued an exclusive statement<\/a> to Us Weekly<\/em>, speaking out for the first time as a collective unit after Matt\u2019s untimely death.<\/p>\n
