Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been married since 2012<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old podcaster has been married to Alec, 68, since 2012, and she admits that their sizeable age gap still sounds “ridiculous”.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Hilaria said: “Take a 27-year-old yoga instructor married to a rich and famous older man \u2014 it sounds ridiculous. It sounds like a bad SNL sketch.”<\/p>\n
Despite this, Hilaria and Alec are able to laugh about the age gap.<\/p>\n
She said: “It worked out luckily, but we poke fun at each other in our family all the time.<\/p>\n
\n“I think people expect that Alec wanted somebody he could boss around, and we\u2019re on the same level together.”<\/p>\n
\nHilaria and Alec – who have Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, nine, Romeo, eight, Eduardo, five, Maria Lucia, five, and Ilaria, three – have found ways to sustain the spark in their romance over more than a decade.<\/p>\n
\nThe podcaster shared: “We\u2019ve been travelling a lot for work recently but we try to have a lot of date nights, which usually involves dinner.<\/p>\n
\n“He loves a good dinner. We either go out or I cook and we usually end up chatting and catching each other up on our seven kids and our projects.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Alec previously revealed that he’s keen to spend more time at home with his wife and kids in the coming years.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor has enjoyed huge success in Hollywood – but he’s now happy to forego various career opportunities in order to spend time with his loved ones.<\/p>\n
\nAlec – who took a break from acting following a shooting incident on the set of the movie Rust in 2021 – previously said on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast: “I wound up staying home a lot. I was home with my kids for three and a half years.<\/p>\n
\n“I hardly worked at all. And that’s just changing now, I’m going to go off and do a bunch of things, but I was home and I got used to it, and I don’t want to leave my house anymore. I don’t. I don’t want to work anymore. I don’t. I really don’t. I want to retire and stay home with my kids.”<\/p>\n
