\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Hannah Waddingham<\/strong><\/a> is shutting down the rumors that she was considered for the role of Madame Morrible in the Wicked<\/strong><\/a><\/em> movies. <\/p>\n The Emmy-winning Ted Lasso<\/em> actress actually got her start as a musical theatre actress, with three Olivier Award nominations for Best Actress in a Musical to her name. <\/p>\n When the Wicked<\/em> movies were in the casting process, fans had her on their dream-cast lists for the role of Morrible, but the role went to Michelle Yeoh<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Hannah<\/strong> addressed the rumors surrounding the casting speculation and confirmed she never even auditioned for the role. <\/p>\n \u201cNo, I didn\u2019t! This is the funniest thing. We can put this to bed once and for all,\u201d she told Variety<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n Hannah<\/strong> actually has been friends with Cynthia Erivo<\/strong><\/a> for more than a decade as they worked together on a musical in London\u2019s West End in 2015. They talked about the role during the casting process, but Michelle<\/strong> had already earned the role. <\/p>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018I think it\u2019s gone.\u2019 She was like, \u2018Dude, I think it\u2019s gone as well,’\u201d Hannah<\/strong> said. \u201cI would have loved<\/em> to have been seen for that, but it was a fait accompli, as they say.\u201d<\/p>\n Hannah<\/strong> says she still wants to do a movie musical and she has one in mind, but won\u2019t reveal it. \u201cThere is, but I\u2019m keeping it under my hat because I want to do it.
