29 May 2026<\/time>\n <\/p>\nMary Bonnet has confirmed her departure from Selling Sunset, saying she made the decision to leave because she wasn\u2019t happy with the \u201cdirection\u201d the reality show was going in.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nMary Bonnet – Netflix – Selling Sunset handout<\/p>\nThe 45-year-old has been an important cast member of the Netflix show that follows the real estate agents at The Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles since the first season in 2019.<\/p>\nIt was reported earlier this year that Mary was one of the faces who wouldn\u2019t be returning for season 10 of the show – alongside Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani and Sandra Vergara, according to TMZ – and now she\u2019s confirmed the sad news. <\/p>\nExplaining the decision to People, Mary said: \u201cAt the end of season 9, you can see that I’m not, I’m not okay with the direction that the office is going, that the show is going.<\/p>\n\u201cI signed up for the show, I thought it was gonna be woman empowerment. I thought it was going to be a very positive thing for women and for the real estate industry and I think it’s kind of taken a turn from that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\nMary added that another reason she\u2019s decided to leave is because of the \u201cextremely unfair\u201d editing of season 9, which she said made her look like she \u201cwas just overreacting the whole season\u201d. <\/p>\n\nShe sighed: \u201cThere was so much taken of our context it painted a picture that I think is extremely damaging and I’m just not gonna be involved in that.\u201d<\/p>\n\nWhile Mary won\u2019t be involved in season 10, she did hint that she might make an appearance in a future series during the chat with People. <\/p>\n\nShe also stressed that while she won\u2019t be in the show, she is still vice president of The Oppenheim Group.<\/p>\n\nShe said: \u201cMy job is still the same, and the market is pretty slow right now. So that does give me a little bit of extra time to do work on some of these other projects that I’m excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n\nThe exact cast for season 10 of Selling Sunset has yet to be confirmed by Netflix bosses. <\/p>\n\nHowever, in the wake of TMZ\u2019s report about the mass cull of cast members, both Chrishell Stause and sworn enemy Nicole Young confirmed they also won\u2019t be back for the next episodes. <\/p>\n\nSpeaking to Bustle about her departure, Chrishell said: \u201cI\u2019ve gotten to a place where I don\u2019t need the show financially. I\u2019m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it\u2019s no longer good for my mental health.<\/p>\n\n\u201cI have no ill will toward the show.
