\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a> and Alexandra Grant<\/strong> have built a special relationship rooted in mutual respect and creativity. <\/p>\n The 53-year-old visual artist offered a rare glimpse into her relationship with the 61-year-old actor while attending the launch event for her new wine brand in Los Angeles on Thursday (May 28).<\/p>\n Speaking with People<\/a><\/em>, Alexandra <\/strong>opened up about how she and Keanu <\/strong>support one another\u2019s creative pursuits while also respecting each other\u2019s individual processes.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s always so appreciative, so he\u2019s always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same,\u201d Alexandra <\/strong>said when discussing their dynamic and whether she allows Keanu <\/strong>to visit her art studio while she\u2019s working.<\/p>\n \u201cYou want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake. Just talking about my love makes me sweat,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cI would say that there is all the listening in the world that we know that we could talk about any problem or challenge or creative idea and talk about it forever if that is needed, and also respect the individual need to dive deep and have a process that\u2019s maybe quiet or in another collaboration.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Alexandra <\/strong>and Keanu <\/strong>first connected while working together on the book Ode to Happiness<\/em>. The couple later co-founded a publishing house and eventually took their relationship public.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I\u2019d say the key to it is the mutual respect and also just like, come on, it\u2019s play, right? It\u2019s play that we get to play creatively. The last thing I will say that I think we share is just the belief in projects. Every project has its own autonomy, its own team, it has its own sort of rules, and it has a beginning, middle and end. So we both are people who do projects, and you know, I\u2019ve lived with John Wick, I\u2019ve lived with Neo.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n John Wick is the title character in Keanu<\/strong>\u2018s blockbuster action franchise, while Neo is the iconic role he portrayed in The Matrix<\/em> movies.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen he\u2019s in a character, for example, I have so much respect for that understanding that this is the middle to the end of a project, right? And I think the same goes for painting,\u201d Alexandra<\/strong> continued. \u201cWhen I\u2019m in painter mode, I am in it. I\u2019m fully in it, and it\u2019s not playing a character, but it is performing, you know, painting really is a form of performance too.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Alexandra <\/strong>frequently supports Keanu <\/strong>at red carpet events and premieres.
