Keanu Reeves<\/a>\u2019 partner Alexandra Grant has praised her \u201crespectful\u201d other half, saying she knows she could talk to him about \u201cany problem or challenge\u201d she faces. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The visual artist, 53, has been romantically linked to Keanu, 61, since 2019, but the pair have kept things private as much as possible. <\/p>\n
However, speaking to People at a launch event on Thursday night, Alexandra did give a little insight into their relationship. <\/p>\n
Reflecting on how they navigate each other\u2019s busy lives and careers, she said: \u201cHe’s always so appreciative, so he’s always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake. Just talking about my love makes me sweat. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI would say that there is all the listening in the world that we know that we could talk about any problem or challenge or creative idea and talk about it forever if that is needed, and also respect the individual need to dive deep and have a process that’s maybe quiet or in another collaboration.<\/p>\n
\n“So I’d say the key to it is the mutual respect and also just like, come on, it’s play, right? It’s play that we get to play creatively.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAlexandra went on to say that another reason their relationship works so well is because they share the same belief in their respective projects. <\/p>\n
\nShe mused: \u201cEvery project has its own autonomy, its own team, it has its own sort of rules, and it has a beginning, middle and end.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nReferring to Keanu\u2019s movies John Wick and The Matrix, she added: \u201cSo we both are people who do projects, and you know, I’ve lived with John Wick, I’ve lived with Neo.”<\/p>\n
\nLike Keanu\u2019s career, Alexandra\u2019s choice of work is equally consuming. <\/p>\n
\nHowever, it\u2019s this shared experience that has helped bring them even closer together. <\/p>\n
\nShe explained: \u201cWhen he’s in a character, for example, I have so much respect for that understanding that this is the middle to the end of a project, right? <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd I think the same goes for painting. When I’m in painter mode, I am in it. I’m fully in it, and it’s not playing a character, but it is performing, you know, painting really is a form of performance too.”<\/p>\n
