John Travolta<\/strong><\/a> has been wearing beret hats for every appearance to promote his movie Propeller One-Way Night Coach<\/em><\/strong> and now he\u2019s explaining why he adopted the look.<\/p>\n

The 72-year-old actor opened up while attending the Los Angeles premiere of the movie on Thursday (May 28). <\/p>\n

John<\/strong>, who directed the movie, was joined at the event by his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta<\/strong><\/a>, who stars in the movie, plus actors Clark Shotwell<\/strong>, Kelly Eviston-Quinnett<\/strong>, Olga Hoffmann<\/strong>, Alina Rose Armstrong<\/strong>, and Edouard Philipponnat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

John Travolta says he owns 12 berets now<\/h3>\n

John<\/strong> told Variety<\/em> <\/a>that he owns 12 berets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe beret has been around for 800 years,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know, the military \u2014 it\u2019s an old school thing. I looked at all the photographs of me for 50 years and I can\u2019t tell you the difference. I started to not be able to differentiate and I said \u2018well, you\u2019re not an actor really.\u2019 So I looked up all the old school directors and they all had berets and sometimes glasses and it was very it was clich\u00e9 but in a wonderful way \u2014 they were probably reflecting painters and musicians of the type.\u201d<\/p>\n

John<\/strong> wants to have fun with fashion. <\/p>\n

\u201cGuys don\u2019t have enough to do,\u201d he added. \u201cThey\u2019re putting men in skirts because there\u2019s a lack of something there\u2026why not change it up? We can have fun too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ella<\/strong> stars in the movie while John<\/strong> provides the narration and appears in it as the older version of the main character.<\/p>\n

Ella<\/strong> is the daughter of John<\/strong> and his late wife, Kelly Preston<\/strong><\/a>. She passed away at the age of 57 in 2020, two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/p>\n
