Joey King<\/strong><\/a> stepped out for the opening reception of the new exhibition \u201cMarilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon<\/em><\/strong>\u201d at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Thursday evening (May 28) in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old actress posed for photos alongside Amy Homma<\/strong>, who has served as the Academy Museum\u2019s director and president since 2024.<\/p>\n

Also in attendance at the event were Barbie Ferreira<\/strong><\/a>, Melanie Griffith<\/strong>, and celebrity florist Jeff Leatham.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMarilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon\u201d celebrates the life and legacy of Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, and features hundreds of posters, portraits, photographs, production documents, letters, and rarely seen personal materials.<\/p>\n

Some of Marilyn’s most famous dresses will be on display including pieces featured in Love Happy<\/em> (1949) to garments from her final unfinished film, Something\u2019s Got to Give<\/em> (1962).<\/p>\n

Among the exhibition\u2019s highlights are two costumes designed by Orry-Kelly<\/strong> for Some Like It Hot<\/em> (1959) and the iconic pink dress designed by William Travilla<\/strong> for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes<\/em> (1953).<\/p>\n

FYI: Joey<\/strong> wore an Elie Saab<\/em> dress with an Aspinal of London<\/em> bag, L\u2019Atelier Nawbar<\/em> earrings and ring, Melinda Maria<\/em> bracelets, and Naked Wolfe<\/em> shoes.<\/p>\n
