A 21-year-old man named Beran A<\/strong> is going to prison after plotting a terrorist attack at a Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> Eras Tour <\/em>concert in Vienna, Austria.<\/p>\n

The man admitted to plotting a jihadist attack at the show, which was scheduled to take place back in August of 2024. <\/p>\n

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to the BBC.<\/a><\/p>\n

Prosecutors claim that the young man became radicalized and sore allegiance to Islamic State (IS), and attempted to buy weapons illegally. A court psychiatrist said he showed no signs of mental illness, and there was \u201cno psychiatric explanation\u201d for the radicalization.<\/p>\n

His name was not fully disclosed due to Austrian privacy laws, the outlet also notes.<\/p>\n

Beran A<\/strong> also admitted to \u201cother terrorism-related offences, including an attack in Mecca,\u201d and apologized to the court on Thursday (May 28).<\/p>\n

She also seemingly alluded to the reason that she hasn\u2019t addressed politics recently despite\u00a0Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using an AI-generated photo<\/a>\u00a0to imply that she endorsed him and\u00a0rumors that she would appear<\/a>\u00a0at the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n
