\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Olivia Rodrigo<\/strong><\/a> is addressing the backlash she received for wearing babydoll dresses for her new album promo. <\/p>\n The 23-year-old singer wore a babydoll dress in her \u201cDrop Dead\u201d music video<\/a> and another one while performing at the Spotify concert<\/a> in Spain recently. <\/p>\n Olivia<\/strong> is slamming people for sexualizing the outfit. <\/p>\n \n<\/center><\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s been making me so upset,\u201d Olivia<\/strong> told Popcast<\/em>. \u201cNot even for me. People can say whatever they want. What\u2019s really disturbing is I have worn outfits that are maybe revealing on stage. I\u2019ve been on stage in a sparkly bra and little shorts, which is my right, that\u2019s fun, I felt cool and comfortable in that. And like that wasn\u2019t inappropriate, but me fully covered up in a dress that people deemed to be childlike was inappropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that \u201cit shows how we really normalize pedophilia in our culture. Also it\u2019s just this rhetoric we\u2019re fed as girls since we\u2019re so little, which is, don\u2019t wear that because then a man is going to sexualize your body and it\u2019s your fault. It\u2019s so weird.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t think that I looked sexy in that at all,\u201d Olivia added. \u201cI was like, this is so cool. I feel I look like Kathleen Hanna or Courtney Love, all these people who are my heroes, and I felt cool and comfortable in it. I just think if we start dressing in a way that\u2019s like, \u2018I don\u2019t want some f\u2013king freak to think that I\u2019m sexy like a baby\u2019 or some crazy thing like that, I think it\u2019s losing the plot a little bit.
