\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Ashley Tisdale French<\/strong> is sharing why she will not be allowing her children to attend sleepovers.<\/p>\n The 40-year-old High School Musical<\/em> alum opened up about her choice in a new blog post published on her website By Ashley French<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just not a fan of sleepovers. As a parent, it comes down to this: You can know someone well and still not really know them. You just don\u2019t always know who people are in their home. You don\u2019t know how parents talk to each other, how they handle conflict, who else has access to the home\u2026 the list goes on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Ashley<\/strong> has two daughters, Jupiter<\/strong>, 5, and Emerson<\/strong>, 20 months, with her husband Christopher French<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She went on to say that while a family \u201ccan seem lovely from the outside, and most are,\u201d the risk of \u201cgetting it wrong\u201d isn\u2019t one she wants to take.<\/p>\n The former Disney Channel star pointed to the statistic that if something dangerous were to happen to her kids, \u201cit\u2019s rarely due to a stranger.\u201d<\/p>\n Ashley<\/strong> reflected on her own uncomfortable experience from a sleepover as a kid as further reasoning behind her decision.<\/p>\n \u201cOne time, I was staying over at my best friend\u2019s house at the same time that her older brother had a bunch of friends over. They were probably around 10 years old. I thought I\u2019d slept soundly through the night, but the next morning, they all thought it was hilarious that I had gone sleepwalking. I remember feeling really weird and vulnerable about having no memory of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Her blog post also lays out a possible sleepover alternative in which she and her friends have decided to do \u201cgroup getaways\u201d when they\u2019re older so the moms can get out of the house and the kids can \u201chave a sleepover in the same space.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe an Airbnb or hotel rooms with a shared door. The kids can have their independence and fun while the parents unwind nearby.
