Edward James Olmos<\/strong><\/a> and Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a> reunited at the premiere of Office Romance<\/em><\/strong> on Tuesday (May 26) in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

The two are once again playing father and daughter in the upcoming Netflix movie, almost 30 years since the last time they did in 1997\u2019s Selena: The Movie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

At the premiere, Edward<\/strong> opened up about reuniting with JLo<\/strong> so many years later. <\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, it was very emotional,\u201d he told Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>. \u201cAnd still is, you know. [It\u2019s a] strong understanding of decades, watching our own growth and watching each other\u2019s growth.\u201d \u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been beautiful,\u201d Edward<\/strong> continued. \u201cWe\u2019re lucky we got to do work that was profoundly a cultural, heartfelt. And when we did Selena<\/em>, it was just beautiful. It was something that I wish people had realized what a performance she gave. It was unbelievably prolific, that performance.\u201d <\/p>\n

In Selena: The Movie<\/em>, Edward<\/strong> played Abraham Quantanilla, the father of JLo<\/strong>\u2018s Selena Quintanilla.<\/p>\n

For Office Romance<\/em>, he plays her father Captain Jack Cruz. Edward<\/strong>\u2018s casting in the upcoming movie was first announced<\/a> over a year ago!<\/p>\n
