Joy Behar<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is not impressed that New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart<\/strong><\/a> attended a recent rally with President Donald Trump<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor somebody to back a guy like Trump, whose history of discrimination and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the \u201970s, DEI attacks and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes \u2014 when he\u2019s on a team that\u2019s 55 percent or 60 percent of the NFL, that much percentage of Black people,\u201d Behar, 83, shared on the Tuesday, May 26, episode of The View<\/i><\/span><\/a>. \u201cThat is just the definition of stupidity and racist in my opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before kicking off Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 22, Dart, 23, attended a campaign-like rally<\/span><\/a> for Republican congressman Mike Lawler<\/strong>, who is up for reelection in a tough swing district. The quarterback was the one to introduce the commander-in-chief before he took the stage.<\/p>\n

While standing at the podium, the NFL player expressed how excited he was to welcome Trump, 79.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,\u201d Dart said. \u201cWithout further ado, I\u2019m grateful, I\u2019m honored, I\u2019m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

While The View<\/i><\/span><\/a>\u2019s Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong> reminded viewers that he\u2019s \u201centitled\u201d to have his opinion, Sara Haines<\/strong> said the NFL player should be prepared for the consequences.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can all have our belief, I get that,\u201d she said. \u201cBut there would be consequences. You\u2019re the quarterback, which is a central player on the team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sunny Hostin<\/strong> added, \u201cThis was a choice and it was a political one. We\u2019re just not in normal times anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/strong> was quick to call the moment an example of freedom of speech, she understood why some people were not happy with the athlete\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has every right to endorse the president and his teammates have every right to criticize him for endorsing the president,\u201d she said, \u201cwhich is what ended up happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

New York Giants linebacker and fellow 2025 first-round pick Abdul Carter<\/strong> spoke out in a since-deleted X post writing, \u201cThough this s*** was AI, what we doing man?\u201d<\/p>\n
