Daniel Su\u00e1rez<\/strong> is dedicating his third career win to the late Kyle Busch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis weekend, it just means more than just the race. With everything that has been happening with Kyle,\u201d Su\u00e1rez, 34, said while being interviewed for Sports on Prime<\/a> after the race. \u201cThis one really means a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Coca-Cola 600 \u2014 which took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina on Sunday, May 23 \u2014 was the first NASCAR race following Busch\u2019s shocking death.<\/p>\n

News broke on Thursday, May 21, that Busch had been hospitalized with a \u201csevere illness\u201d<\/a> and would not be participating in Sunday\u2019s race. Later that same day, NASCAR announced that Busch had died<\/a>. He was 41.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport\u2019s greatest and fiercest drivers,\u201d the organization announced via social media on Thursday. \u201cWe extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Su\u00e1rez was one of the drivers who took to social media with a tribute to Busch after news of his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2015, I used to call Kyle once a week for his help and guidance as I started going to racetracks for the first time,\u201d he shared on Instagram. \u201cHe gave me a hand when I was brand new to this. I am in complete shock. I am thinking of his family during this incredibly difficult time. Much love amigo.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for Busch\u2019s family confirmed to NBC News on Saturday, May 23, that he died from pneumonia<\/a> that progressed \u201cinto sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s race was an emotional one with Busch\u2019s family, including his wife Samantha Busch<\/strong> and brother Kurt Busch<\/strong>, in attendance at the Coca-Cola 600.<\/p>\n
