\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The family of the late Kyle Busch<\/strong><\/a> make their first public appearance since his tragic death last week. <\/p>\n His wife Samantha Busch<\/strong><\/a> and their two kids Brexton<\/strong>, 11, and Lennix<\/strong>, 4, stepped out at the NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600<\/em> held at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday (May 24) as the sport remembered the late driver. <\/p>\n Also in attendance were Kyle<\/strong>\u2018s brother Kurt Busch<\/strong> and girlfriend Lyda Moore<\/strong>, and parents Tom<\/strong> and Gaye<\/strong> for a special tribute.<\/p>\n In loving memory of Kyle Busch. pic.twitter.com\/UvcB5C0oMn<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 NASCAR (@NASCAR) May 24, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n NASCAR CEO Steve O\u2019Donnell<\/strong> led the remembrance ceremony.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery racetrack was Kyle Busch<\/strong>\u2019s home,\u201d he said. \u201cHe competed like he had something to prove every single race, when in reality he had already proven everything. What I think we\u2019ll miss the most isn\u2019t the wins. It\u2019s the guy who quietly wanted to help a teammate, give some advice, the husband, the father, the guy who quietly did thing for other when no one was watching.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSamantha<\/strong>, I want you to know that this sport stands with you, and you and your children are NASCAR family forever. Brexton<\/strong> and Lennix<\/strong>, your dad loves you with all his heart,\u201d Steve <\/strong>added. \u201cEveryone gathered here, everyone behind you, everyone watching on TV and all those people up in that grandstand, they are your family and we\u2019ve got you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cKyle Busch<\/strong> is NASCAR. He was one of a kind, and there will never be another.\u201d<\/p>\n Kyle<\/strong> was preparing to race in the event that day, before falling ill with severe pneumonia, which progressed into sepsis<\/a>. He sadly passed away on Thursday (May 21). <\/p>\n Kyle<\/strong>\u2018s No 8 is being reserved by his team Richard Childress Racing until Brexton<\/strong> is ready to continue his father\u2019s legacy in NASCAR.<\/p>\n \u201cRichard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond,\u201d they shared<\/a> in a statement after his death. \u201cKyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR\u2019s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did.
