However, on May 20, the program changed its award charts from three pricing tiers per category to five<\/a><\/span> and implemented its annual category shifts<\/a><\/span>. So, here’s what you need to know about the current World of Hyatt program.<\/p>\n The World of Hyatt program has 38 brands. Here’s how Hyatt classifies its brands:<\/p>\n Every time you stay at a Hyatt brand for the first time, you’ll earn toward the Hyatt brand explorer promotion<\/a><\/span>. This promotion gives you a Category 1-4 free night award for every five unique brands you experience. World of Hyatt elite status<\/a><\/span> is extremely valuable, as are the milestone rewards you can earn along the way toward securing status.<\/p>\n Everyone starts with Member status, and this is the tier you’ll get if you don’t secure Hyatt elite status. But, once you earn a specific tier of Hyatt elite status, you’ll keep it through the end of February two years later. So, if you earn Hyatt Globalist status in Nov. 2026, you’ll keep it through the end of Feb. 2028.<\/p>\n Member is the tier all Hyatt members get if they don’t have elite status.
