Matt Lauria<\/strong> addressed the chances of a Kingdom<\/em> reunion despite him being booked and busy with Sheriff Country<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would it take to get me to do another to do more Kingdom? It would take a phone call,\u201d Lauria, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cThat\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauria said he would reunite with his costars \u201cin a heartbeat\u201d \u2014 but there is one condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cGive me six weeks to try and get the six-pack back,\u201d he joked. \u201cI\u2019m older than when we started. That was in 2014 so 12 years have gone by. But as far as I can tell, everybody\u2019s still in shape and everybody is still very active. We could pull it off in a heartbeat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kingdom<\/em>, which aired from 2014 to 2017, was a gritty drama that followed a retired MMA fighter trying to keep his mixed martial arts gym afloat while managing the volatile lives and personal demons of his sons and his fighters. In addition to Lauria, the series starred Frank Grillo, Kiele Sanchez, Jonathan Tucker, Nick Jonas<\/strong> and Joanna Going<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI ran into Byron Balasco, who\u2019s now part of the CBS and Paramount family because he\u2019s writing on one of the NCIS shows,\u201d Lauria told Us<\/em> about the reunion with Kingdom\u2019s coshowrunner. \u201cWe kind of mumbled about a reunion and it doesn\u2019t seem like anybody\u2019s against it. It was one of the highlights of all of our careers \u2014 in terms of the experience we had.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauria isn\u2019t the only one with a passion<\/a> for the show\u2019s return. Grillo, 60, recently told Us<\/em> he was just as ready to come back.<\/p>\n

\u201cByron Balasco and Jonathan Tucker and I were just on a three-way [call],\u201d Grillo shared in September 2025 \u201cWe were trying to figure out how we could possibly \u2014 I\u2019m not kidding \u2014 put it together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trio are looking to \u201ccome up with some ideas\u201d and \u201cget the band back together\u201d to \u201csee if we could finish an eight-episode run,\u201d Grillo teased. \u201cWe actually talked about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFrom sitcoms and game shows to dramas and cartoons, the list of TV reboots and revivals is a long one. Waiting to Exhale and Conan the Barbarian are both films being made into TV shows, while Gilmore Girls was transformed into four seasons for its Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For now, Lauria is excited to keep filming Sheriff Country<\/em><\/a> where he plays the lovable Boone.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoone is embracing Edgewater for all that it is,\u201d he noted. \u201cThat\u2019s been the central journey for Boone, and I think that\u2019s also what allowed him to really explore internally and confront his feelings for Mickey. Because normally, that would be a hard line for him not to cross.\u201d<\/p>\n
