Liam Payne and Kate Cassidy dated for two years before the One Direction singer’s death in 2024<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old influencer dated the former One Direction singer for two years until his tragic death at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina in 2024 and explained that none of her potential romances since can compare to the “f****** hot, funny, kind and generous” star.<\/p>\n
Kate said in a TikTok post: “I compare literally everyone to my late partner, for anybody that’s new here I lost my partner a year and a half ago and he kind of hit every single box on the check list.”<\/p>\n
The influencer explained how she was “icked out” when her date forced a friend who accompanied them to pay her own bill.<\/p>\n
Cassidy said: “I was icked out, Liam never did that, ever, some of these men are like pulling teeth.”<\/p>\n
\nThe social media personality has been open about her grief for the Strip That Down artist but revealed last month that she was ready to begin dating once again.<\/p>\n
\nKate said in an Instagram video: “I am ready to start dating again. It has been a year and a half since Liam passed away.<\/p>\n
\n“I think that love after loss is a big chapter within your grief journey and I don’t know how that is going to feel. But I do know that I loved being in love.<\/p>\n
\n“I want to have kids one day, I want to have a family and I know Liam would want that for me and if the roles were reversed I would want him to be happy and fall in love again.”<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I will always love Liam and that will never change no matter who I meet and who comes into my life.<\/p>\n
\n“I am going to think about Liam on my wedding day, I am going to think about him everyday for the rest of my life and that goes without saying.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Kate previously took to TikTok to hit out at a cruel online troll who told her to move on from Liam.<\/p>\n
\nShe said on the social media platform: “Let me tell you something, Liam Payne was my boyfriend. He wasn\u2019t just this famous figure to me.<\/p>\n
\n“It hurts so bad because I am just criticised all the time for speaking about my boyfriend that passed away, the person that I loved and still do love. <\/p>\n
\n“I would never settle for anyone in this lifetime who did not feel comfortable enough with me speaking about Liam.<\/p>\n
\n“Liam was a very big part of my life. He was my best friend, somebody I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with and, obviously, I know one day I’m going to have to move on. I want to get married one day. I want to have kids.<\/p>\n
\n“When a person dies, they die twice, once when they actually die and the second time when you stop speaking about them. I’m not going to have Liam die twice on me. I will love him forever.”<\/p>\n
