\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> is reacting to the final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n After a 33-year run on CBS, The Late Show<\/em> came to an end on Thursday night (May 21) with several celebrity cameos <\/a>and Paul McCartney<\/strong> leading a sing-along of The Beatles<\/strong>\u2018 \u201cHello, Goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n In the early morning hours of Friday, May 22, Trump<\/strong>, 79, took to his Truth Social <\/a>where he called Colbert<\/strong>, 62, a \u201cjerk\u201d and celebrated the show\u2019s finale.<\/p>\n \u201cColbert<\/strong> is finally finished at CBS,\u201d Trump<\/strong> wrote. \u201cAmazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life. He was like a dead person. You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cThank goodness he\u2019s finally gone!\u201d<\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> shared the post at 1:52am ET, about an hour after the finale concluded.<\/p>\n CBS canceled The Late Show<\/em> in July 2025, just days after Colbert<\/strong> had criticized Paramount Global over its $16 million lawsuit settlement with Trump<\/strong>.
