The 2026 Tribeca Film Festival<\/a>, which was founded by Robert De Niro<\/a> and Jane Rosenthal in 2002 as a response to 9\/11, will take place in New York City from June 3 through June 14. This morning, the festival announced its starry lineup of judges for its 25th anniversary, which include New York-born rapper Nas<\/a>, Oscar-nominated director Mira Nair, Emmy winning actor Alexis Bledel<\/a>, actor and director Tommy Dorfman<\/a>, director Janizca Bravo<\/a>, actor Haley Lu Richardson, New York<\/em> editor David Haskell, and more.<\/p>\n

Chanel<\/a> will also return as a partner for the festival, further cementing its relationship with film. The brand has long been a supporter of the arts and film, most famously partnering with directors and actors in its stable of ambassadors and friends of the house to support their film endeavors. Chanel supported the production of Spencer<\/em> starring Kristen Stewart and outfitted her for her role playing Princess Diana, and created a custom wedding dress for Sofia Coppola\u2019s Priscilla<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This year, in addition to hosting the 19th annual Tribeca Festival Artists dinner, the fashion behemoth will continue its Chanel Artist Awards Program, which partners with artists in procuring artwork for the festival jurors to award to some of its winners. This year\u2019s art collection will be displayed at the Tribeca Festival Hub at Spring Studios throughout the festival.<\/p>\n

\u201cVisual artists invited to participate this year were encouraged to explore ideas of character, costuming and performance,\u201d says curator Zoe Lukov, who has partnered with Chanel to select the artists. \u201cThe works address the adornment and revelation of the body in both abstract and figurative ways\u2014how we obscure, embellish, reveal, bare and become.\u201d<\/p>\n

The contemporary artists selected to create 10 artworks to award to 10 winners include Dominican painter Bony Ramirez, Kenya-born Canadian dance and visual artist Brendan Fernandes, New York-based multidisciplinary artist Carrie Mae Weems, conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas, painter Jason Bard Yarmosky, photographer and visual artist Joshua Woods, multidisciplinary artist Kiki Smith, jewelry designers Soull and Dynasty Ogun, conceptual artist Tavares Strachan, and movement artist Tosh Basco.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
