FBI<\/em> is returning for season 9<\/a> \u2014 but is everyone from the cast coming back?<\/p>\n Created by Law & Order<\/em> creator Dick Wolf,<\/strong><\/a> FBI<\/em>, which premiered in 2018, follows the agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York City. The personnel have endured their fair share of ups and downs \u2014 with Maggie (Missy Peregrym<\/strong>) going through a tragedy when serial slasher Ray DiStefano (Matthew Rauch<\/strong>) kidnapped and killed her sister, Erin (Adrienne Rose Bengtsson<\/strong>).<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s really important what we\u2019re doing, because we\u2019re highlighting how to move forward. Everybody experiences loss. Everybody goes through the depths of emotions in life,\u201d she explained to Deadline in March. \u201cYou have an opportunity to show connection, relationship, intimacy and growth. And this is exactly why I do what I do. I hope this makes people feel seen and that they want to keep going after such a horrific experience, and that they don\u2019t give up.\u201d<\/p>\n Peregrym was hopeful about the plans for the show.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cTo go so far. I was like, \u2018What are we doing after this?\u2019 You know, I\u2019ve been playing the same character for eight years, and we\u2019re going so far,\u201d she noted. \u201cWhat\u2019s the plan? How are we going to move through the next steps of getting back on your feet and being able to be in the world again? We\u2019re not a drama where we sit around in our underwear and chat on the couch. We\u2019ve got to get back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n She concluded, \u201cSo at what point are we going to address the reality of this scenario, and we are, we are doing it in the best way that we can with our show, like the way we do it on a procedural. But you know, as much as it scared me, I was terrified to go into that space at the end. I\u2019m finding it really interesting to play my character now and finding these beats of when I can insert this stuff and when to work. And it\u2019s just a challenge. It just feels like we\u2019re doing a new show again. Do you know what I mean? And sometimes I get freaked out because I think we\u2019re just highlighting some of the horrors of humanity every week,\u201d Peregrym told Deadline in March. \u201cAnd what is this? What are we doing this for? What am I investing a lot of my life in to do this for?\u201d<\/p>\n Zaki\u2019s OA isn\u2019t going anywhere \u2014 but his story line will look a little different in season 9 after going undercover.<\/a><\/p>\n Jubal a.k.a Sisto\u2019s fan-favorite character is once again front and center when the show returns.<\/p>\n De la Garza is expected to come back as Isobel after originally joining the show as a guest star in season 1.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n It is very likely that if Boyd\u2019s Scola left FBI then the fans would riot \u2014 so there isn\u2019t any concern that he won\u2019t return.<\/p>\n After joining the show in season 8, Martinez expressed her hope that she would remain on the show as Eva Ramos.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBefore I came into the show, I sat down with showrunner Mike Weiss and told me who he was thinking Eva was going to be. That was really the deciding factor for me to be like, \u2018Yes, this is something that\u2019s very interesting to me. This is something that I think I can offer and give value to and make it exciting and different,’\u201d she exclusively told Us Weekly. \u201cWhen you join a new show, you get the opportunity to do something different. It was definitely like, \u2018OK, how can you show different sides of a profession?
