Nicholas Galitzine<\/strong><\/a> underwent a seriously intense transformation to get into He-Man shape for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to E! News<\/a><\/em>, the 31-year-old actor opened up about the demanding physical process behind playing the iconic character, revealing he trained \u201cevery day a week.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pretty short amount of time. You kind of would love to live in this character for a year beforehand but the training very much changed as the movie went on,” he shared.<\/p>\n

The production team wanted him to get as big as possible for the role, which meant \u201chaving up to 5,000 calories sometimes, weightlifting for three hours a day,\u201d before eventually \u201cstreamlining it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you\u2019re shooting a scene,\u201d the Red, White & Royal Blue<\/em> star explained. \u201cThey say, \u2018You have 10 minutes until the next set up,\u2019 you run outside, you hop on the assault bike, run back in, shoot a scene again, and that kind of goes on for about five months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicholas<\/strong> also spoke about the challenge of cutting calories while still filming physically demanding action scenes.<\/p>\n

Talking about lowering his caloric intake, Nicholas<\/strong> said he had to cut while they were shooting, which is \u201cpretty insane.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cYou have that brain fog. So, I definitely felt like that was a thing but especially when you\u2019re doing these action set pieces, you\u2019ve gotta have energy for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
