Hayden Panettiere<\/strong> <\/a>name-dropped several celebrity friends and exes in debut memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think people will be surprised by what they learn,\u201d Panettiere, 36, told Us Weekly<\/em> in her cover story<\/a> published in May 2026, revealing that she was \u201cterrified\u201d to tell her story.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first thought that went through my head is, \u2018Am I ready to write a book about my life?\u2019\u201d the actress shared. \u201cThen I started thinking through my life and going, \u2018Gosh, truth is stranger than fiction. I have so many stories already to share.\u2019 I hope that by sharing them in this book, that it helps people to overcome the obstacles they\u2019re going through.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panettiere wrote that she was cast as Nicole Kidman<\/strong>\u2019s daughter in the movie Panic Room<\/em>. After Kidman hurt herself on set, she was forced to pull out of the role, which halted production. There was apparently a conversation about Angelina Jolie<\/strong> joining the film.<\/p>\n

Eventually, Jodie Foster<\/strong> replaced Kidman in the film. However, Panettiere was also recast with Kristen Stewart<\/strong>. According to Panettiere\u2019s book, producers didn\u2019t think she looked enough like Foster.<\/p>\n
