Fran Drescher<\/strong><\/a> is sharing some insight into her relationship with ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t know, the 68-year-old The Nanny<\/em> star was married to Peter<\/strong>, also 68, for 21 years before divorcing in 1999. Despite their split, and Peter<\/strong> coming out as gay, the two have remained extremely close.<\/p>\n

While dishing on a recent vacation she took with Peter<\/strong>, Fran<\/strong> revealed to People<\/a><\/em> the one rule she has for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s my gay ex-husband. He’s my best friend and he’s always around,\u201d Fran<\/strong> said. \u201cBut we try and make sure that he’s not too much of a c–kblock.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if she thinks having Peter<\/strong> around on vacations with her keeps other men from coming up and flirting with her, Fran<\/strong> said, \u201cThat might have been, but for the most part, everybody knows who he is.\u201d<\/p>\n

While they were married, Fran<\/strong> and Peter <\/strong>co-created the beloved sitcom The Nanny<\/em>, which ran from 1993 to 1999, the same year they got divorced. Two years later, Peter<\/strong> came out as gay.<\/p>\n

They continued working together, including co-creating the sitcom Happily Divorced<\/em>, which was based on their real-life experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s my life partner. He’s my work partner,\u201d Fran<\/strong> added of Peter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
