David Beckham<\/a> and Victoria Beckham, the 27-year-old influencer shared a photograph on Instagram showing himself sitting alongside Anthony \u2013 the father of his estranged mother Victoria \u2013\u00a0as he paid tribute to him on his milestone birthday. <\/p>\nThe social media message comes amid continuing tension inside the Beckham family after Brooklyn claimed earlier this year he did \u201cnot want to reconcile\u201d with his parents and accused them of attempting to control the public narrative surrounding their family\u2019s every movement. <\/p>\n
Brooklyn wrote online alongside a snap of him sitting beside Anthony: \u201cHappy 80th Birthday papa.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nEarlier in the day, Brooklyn\u2019s wife Nicola Peltz, 31, shared photographs from what she described as a date outing with Brooklyn, documenting the pair spending time together during a salon appointment before later drinking wine at a bar.<\/p>\n
\nNicola wrote on Instagram: \u201cMy best friend took me to the salooon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe photographs showed Nicola having her hair styled while Brooklyn sat beside her. <\/p>\n
\nIn another image, the pair touched fingers while posing for a mirror selfie. <\/p>\n
\nAdditional pictures showed Nicola sitting beneath a hair dryer while Brooklyn crouched beside her smiling for the camera.<\/p>\n
\nNicola also later posted a photograph of a large bouquet of pink roses, thanking Brooklyn for the gift.<\/p>\n
\nThe pair\u2019s latest social media posts arrive after months of reports about divisions inside the Beckham family, which escalated publicly in January when Brooklyn issued a strongly worded statement on Instagram denying he was being controlled by Nicola and accusing his parents of briefing the press.<\/p>\n
\nBrooklyn said at the time in his six-post statement: \u201cI have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cUnfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBrooklyn continued: \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe statement sent shockwaves through celebrity circles because of the Beckhams\u2019 long-standing public image as one of Britain\u2019s most closely followed families.<\/p>\n
\nHis father Sir David, 51, remains one of the world\u2019s most famous footballers following his careers with Manchester United, Real Madrid and the England national football team, while Victoria, 52, first rose to fame in Spice Girls before establishing a luxury fashion label.<\/p>\n
\nBrooklyn later alleged his mother behaved \u201cin an inappropriate way\u201d during his wedding celebrations with Nicola in 2022, further fuelling reports of tensions between Nicola and Victoria that had circulated since the ceremony in Florida.<\/p>\n
\nReports earlier this year also claimed Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal notice instructing them to communicate through lawyers and not tag him on social media.<\/p>\n
\nAmid the family tensions, Brooklyn and Nicola have continued presenting a united front online, regularly sharing photographs from trips, date nights and fashion events. <\/p>\n
\nNicola, daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, has also continued acting projects while Brooklyn has focused on food and lifestyle ventures following earlier photography and cooking projects.<\/p>\n
