The comic, 32, who welcomed his daughter Scottie Rose with actress Elsie, 30, in December, are said to have ended their relationship earlier this month following what sources described as ongoing difficulties balancing Pete\u2019s work commitments with life as new parents. <\/p>\n
Elsie has since shared emotional social media posts about raising their baby daughter largely \u201con my own\u201d, prompting sources quoted by Page Six to jump to Pete\u2019s defence.<\/p>\n
One insider said to be close to the pair told the outlet Pete had continued financially supporting Elsie and their daughter despite the split.<\/p>\n
The source added: \u201cPete has been paying for everything related to Elsie and Scottie, including the rent, their living expenses, their health insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey added: \u201cThey may have split but all he wants is for Elsie to be happy and in a good place.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nElsie, 30, shared a now-deleted Instagram Stories post over the weekend in which she asked followers for recommendations for an assistant or nanny.<\/p>\n
\nShe wrote: \u201cI\u2019m currently trying to find an assistant \/ mother\u2019s helper \/ nanny type \/ basically [a] right hand person.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cApply here if qualified and serious. Only looking @ responses with resumes. ($ of course.)\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actress also appeared emotional in a TikTok video posted on Friday.<\/p>\n
\nElsie whispered: \u201cI have a baby to take care of. I have to work and make money. I\u2019m doing it on my own, which is hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
