Milo Ventimiglia<\/a> and Wladimir Klitschko, and although in March she was seen with her former partner Brian Hickerson – who was previously jailed for assaulting her – she insisted she is currrently single.<\/p>\nShe told the Sunday Times Culture magazine: \u201cRight now, I\u2019m my romantic partner.\u201d <\/p>\n
In her new memoir, This Is Me, Hayden came out as bisexual and she admitted she never spoke openly about her sexuality in the past due to “fear”.<\/p>\n
She admitted: \u201cI\u2019ve had a lot to say that, for years, I haven\u2019t gotten a chance to say for many reasons, but a lot of them just were about fear and being a perfectionist.”<\/p>\n
\nHayden has 11-year-old daughter Kaya with Wladimir and relinquished custody of the youngster to the former boxer when their daughter was three during a trip to Kyiv in his native Ukraine amid her own battle with addiction and depression, and she admitted it is another period in her life she finds difficult to discuss.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cThe idea that anyone would think that I would just simply give up my child, it blows my mind. It couldn\u2019t be farther from the truth…<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019ve been scared throughout this whole process. I\u2019m still scared, but I\u2019ve been feeling empowered at the same time.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt was a very difficult thing to figure out how to verbalise too. I had not spent time really talking about it.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nAlthough the 36-year-old actress lives in the US and Kaya is in Europe, they have a close bond and see one another as often as possible, as well as enjoying FaceTime calls.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt\u2019s not nearly as often as I wish. I want my child next to me every single day.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI have such a great relationship with her.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s so unique because of our situation, the distance between us and having to find other ways to really bond.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHayden suffered postpartum depression in the months after Kaya’s birth but Wladimir was dismissive about her condition for a long time.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I\u2019d never known anybody who dealt with postpartum depression. It took me months and months to realise what it was….<\/p>\n
\n“[Wladimir] even has on his email [signature] at the bottom, \u2018If you can control your mind, you can control everything\u2019. Just the concept of [postnatal depression] did not fit in his mind.<\/p>\n
\n“It took a very long time for him to finally believe me and realise that I was not bulls*******. No one would choose to go through that.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThese days, the Nashville actress has a “really beautiful friendship” with her former partner.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cYou don\u2019t have to agree with everything that somebody does. You can still love them and try to figure out how to overcome those obstacles together.\u201d<\/p>\n
