That\u2019s them trying to see what they can get away with with Jacob Elordi. Buddy is lucky this is the the finale and he already has his Oscar nom,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Eazy_Bake\/status\/2056194046087802950\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a third chimed in<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>(Last night\u2019s episode was not the finale, but the user might have been referring to the fact that this is <em>Euphoria\u2019s<\/em> final season. Elordi was recently nominated for an Oscar for his work in <em>Frankenstein<\/em>.) <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DSLDP6WAG6S\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>We\u2019re sure that showrunner Sam Levinson knew that the scene would ignite an online discourse, and that\u2019s exactly what it did.<\/p>\n<p>But is <em>Euphoria<\/em> resorting to cheap tricks in its effort to remain culturally relevant?<\/p>\n<p>The Elordi controversy comes just one week after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/05\/did-sydney-sweeney-double-down-on-maga-barbie-image-by-blasting-dems-as-r-rded-on-euphoria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sweeney used the r-slur<\/a> in a scene that left viewers equally baffled.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, <em>Euphoria<\/em> is for mature audiences, and more than halfway through the show\u2019s third season, fans certainly know what they\u2019re in for.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s a difference between envelope-pushing narratives and offensive language that\u2019s shoehorned in to offer a cheap laugh or spark a debate online.<\/p>\n<p><em>Euphoria<\/em> is the kind of series that will always leave audiences divided, and its detractors are unlikely to remember it as anything more than an exercise in shock value.<\/p>\n<p>But fans are surely hoping that the final episodes will showcase Levinson and company\u2019s better impulses and remind us that amid all the controversy, this has always been a show with heart.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/05\/jacob-elordi-shouts-f-slur-on-euphoria-leaves-audience-divided\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading Time: 2 minutes Euphoria is no stranger to controversy.
