Former Melrose Place<\/em> and Days of Our Lives<\/em> star Patrick Muldoon<\/strong><\/a> was laid to rest nearly one month after his death at age 57<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTough Day saying goodbye to my friend Pat Muldoon!!! He was my Teammate, My Brother, My Friend\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffe miss you already brotha,\u201d his former USC Trojans teammate Rodney Peete<\/strong> announced via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, May 16.<\/p>\n

While Muldoon was best known for his acting work, he was a star football player as a teenager and even played tight end for USC in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

Mulddon\u2019s ex-girlfriend Denise Richards<\/strong>\u2018 daughter Sami Sheen<\/strong> was also in attendance at the celebration of life service and shared the handout via Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiss u so much Patrick,\u201d Sheen, 22, captioned the photo.<\/p>\n

Muldoon\u2019s family had previously announced<\/a> that a memorial service would be held for the late actor at St. Monica\u2019s Catholic Church in Santa Monica.<\/p>\n

The entertainment world was rocked on April 19 when news broke that Muldoon had died from a heart attack<\/a>. (A death certificate obtained exclusively by Us Weekly<\/em> indicated that there were multiple underlying causes<\/a> in Muldoon\u2019s death, including a pulmonary embolism and coagulopathy disorder, a genetic condition that impairs the blood\u2019s ability to form clots properly.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWith his poetry, his humor, and his unmistakable presence. [Patrick] loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen,\u201d read a statement released to the media. \u201cStylish, charismatic, and full of life, he embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock \u2019n\u2019 roll spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDenise Richards\u2019 daughter Sami Sheen is sharing an emotional tribute to her mom\u2019s late friend and ex-boyfriend\u00a0Patrick Muldoon. \u201cPatrick was someone that everyone loved. He was so quick-witted and humble but still made sure everyone knew he was a rock star and never cared what people thought about him,\u201d Sami, 22, wrote in an Instagram [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tributes came pouring in from many of Muldoon\u2019s friends and former costars, including former Days of Our Lives<\/em> castmate Lisa Rinna<\/strong><\/a>, his ex-girlfriend Tori Spelling<\/strong><\/a> and numerous soap stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Muldoon\u2019s former girlfriend Richards wrote that she was \u201cdeeply heartbroken & devastated\u201d<\/a> to lose him via an Instagram tribute on April 21. (The former couple dated in the late 1990s, during which they also worked together on the 1997 science fiction classic Starship Troopers<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were my best friend & my family. We met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who\u2019s the boss,<\/em>\u201d she remembered. \u201cAnd here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don\u2019t know it without you. The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you walked into. You are larger than life & Everyone was drawn to you. So talented & most underrated actor. And most humble.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDays of Our Lives actor Patrick Muldoon had been public about his relationships prior to his death. The Melrose Place alum\u2019s manager confirmed to Variety in April 2026 that the actor died at age 57. His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that Muldoon had gone to take a shower after drinking coffee with his girlfriend, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Richards vowed that she\u2019d always remember Muldoon for \u201cyour laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion, and your zest for life.\u201d<\/p>\n
