Katie Price has confirmed her husband Lee Andrews has quit social media amid the mystery surrounding his failed attempts to join her in the UK<\/p>\n
The businessman had claimed throughout the week that he was travelling to Britain, but he failed to join his other half on Good Morning Britain on May 12. Attention quickly turned to the long\u2011running rumours that he is unable to leave Dubai due to a travel ban.<\/p>\n
Lee attempted to shut down the speculation by posting videos he said were filmed at Muscat Airport in Oman, but he still never arrived – and has now disappeared from social media entirely.<\/p>\n
Katie confirmed her husband\u2019s sudden online silence, insisting the couple were united despite the chaos.<\/p>\n
She posted to her Instagram Story on Friday (15.05.26): \u201cDue to all the madness of trolling, people\u2019s speculation and media frenzy that as a married couple we have both decided @wesleeeandrews is taking a break from social media and we are keeping things between us for now as it\u2019s our life and marriage and are very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut behind the scenes, tensions have been rising. <\/p>\n
\nDespite Katie insisting they are “very happy”, she had earlier admitted she felt \u201clet down\u201d by Lee and called him “a d***” for not making it to the UK for the broadcast.<\/p>\n
\nThe pair claim it’s business-related reasons for him not making it to Britain.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, there are reports that an UAE travel ban is the mystery behind his no-shows.<\/p>\n
\nGMB host Susanna Reid told Katie live on air that the Foreign Office had \u201csupported a British man detained in the United Arab Emirates\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nKatie jumped to his defence on air, stating: \u201cHe just didn\u2019t make the flight\u2026 because of his business he had some things he had to do last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLee insisted: \u201cNo one was detained. Sorry I got delayed and couldn\u2019t make the show. I love you so much Katie and I\u2019m on my way to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIt was reported Lee – who has denied allegations he can’t leave Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend Dina Taji\u2019s signature to secure a \u00a3200,000 loan – was “detained” at the airport, but Katie insisted at the time he had simply missed the flight due to work.<\/p>\n
\nBut she admitted to her sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show podcast he had told her he “was at the airport and couldn’t get on the flight’ because of an issue with his visa.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I phoned the foreign office up and gave them Lee’s name and date of birth and they said that they had detained a British man.”<\/p>\n
\nKatie then expressed her frustration with the situation.<\/p>\n
\nSophie said: “I feel like he is massively mugging you off. And he\u2019s done it on live TV.”<\/p>\n
\nKatie replied: \u201cI have said to him, \u2018You\u2019ve made me look like a d***, you\u2019ve made yourself look like a massive d***.”<\/p>\n
